Code of Conduct

The Tarlton Theatre and our family of venues is committed to offering community spaces in which all members of our community are welcome to celebrate together in art, music, film and culture.

Whether it's attending, performing, or working, our priority is to protect and support all people who visit our venues. We reserve the right to remove any person who violates our Code of Conduct in any way. By visiting The Tarlton Theatre and our family of venues, you agree to act in accordance with our Code of Conduct. Any person violating our Code of Conduct will be subject to removal without a refund, arrest, legal action, and/or revocation of the opportunity to perform at-, work at-, or attend any subsequent show at our venues.

• act in an appropriate manner for a public space,
• observe the order of business and the boundaries of others, and
• protect and support others.

Prohibited actions in our venues include:

• sexual misconduct, harassment, abuse, and/or assault, including unwelcome sexual attention or contact,
• acting or speaking in a discriminatory manner,
• interrupting any show in any way, including interfering with our stage, screen, and/or audio-visual technical areas,
• providing substances, legal or illegal, to others without their consent,
• blocking doorways, aisles, parking lots, or impeding the accessibility of others throughout our venues in any way,
• standing on seats, sitting and/or standing on railings, or applying any undue load or force to any other structures, and
• smoking.

The listed carry-in personal items are welcome at our venues:

• Blankets
• Lawn chairs (only at The Truck Yard At The Tarlton)
• Small bags not larger than 12"x6"x12"
• Small handheld cameras and cameraphones (unless prohibited during a specific show)

The listed carry-in personal items are prohibited at our venues:

• Aerosols
• Backpacks
• Bags larger than 12"x6"x12"
• Carry-in food and drinks, including but not limited to water bottles
• Confetti
• Coolers
• Drones
• Firearms
• Fireworks
• Knives
• Large audio and video recording devices (unless permitted by management)
• Laser pointers
• Smoking devices, including but not limited to cigarettes

For the protection of all guests, all persons and vehicles on the premises of our venues are subject to search, including possible use of metal detectors and hand searches of carry-in items. We reserve the right to prohibit or require removal of any personal items.
